The Canadian Institute of Traffic and Transportation (CITT) has announced a formal alliance with the Professional Truck Training Alliance of Canada (PTTAC), marking its first partnership with an association dedicated to the driving profession.

“CITT firmly believes that people are the most important part of transportation operations,” said Pina Melchionna, president and CEO of CITT. “That couldn’t be more true than in trucking, where operators are the lifeblood of the business.” She added that CITT looks forward to collaborating with PTTAC to advance trucking and transportation in Canada.

Jim Campbell, PTTAC chairman and president of First Class Training Centre Inc. in Winnipeg, Man., said the partnership aligns with PTTAC’s goal of offering value-added services to members. “This relationship will allow us to offer resources, enhance training and education opportunities for the betterment of the industry.”

PTTAC works to standardize and support commercial truck training programs across Canada, advocating for safety and professionalism in the industry.
