Professional Truck Training Alliance of Canada Bolsters Board of Directors

The Professional Truck Training Alliance of Canada (PTTAC) is pleased to announce they have welcomed three associations from across Canada to the PTTAC Board of Directors.

Women Building Futures (WBF), Chris Nash, the Infrastructure Health & Safety Association (IHSA), Michelle Roberts, and Safer Roads Canada, Chris Joseph is joining the Private Motor Truck Council of Canada (PMTC) and the Trucking Human Resources Sector Council of Atlantic Canada (THRSC Atlantic) as board of director’s.

Jim Campbell, Chairperson of the PTTAC commented,

“we are very fortunate to have these groups and associations involved. They are all highly recognized associations and groups with plenty of knowledge and expertise that will be of great value to the mandate, goals and objectives of the Alliance”.

The PTTAC recently met with the Alberta government to discuss the New Learning Pathway For Class 1 Drivers Announced March 27th 2024 which includes enhancing the monitoring and oversight of driver schools, instructors and examiners that ensure the instruction and examination of commercial drivers are aligned with the curriculum.

“We will continue to align with like-minded industry shareholders who share the vision and objectives of the PTTAC. It is not our goal to push government or industry as we move forward but to pull them along and work together towards mutual objectives that will ultimately improve road safety” added Campbell.
